Verification on tradeit is straightforward. After you sign up with your email or phone number, we ask you to provide three pieces of information: a valid government ID (national identity card, passport, or driving license), a recent selfie, and your full name and date of birth. All uploads are encrypted and stored securely on our servers — we do not share your documents with third parties, and we follow standard data-protection practices.
The process takes five minutes on mobile or desktop. Open the tradeit app or log into your account on a browser, navigate to the account settings, and select "Verify Identity". You will see three upload buttons: one for your ID (front and back), one for your selfie, and a form to enter your personal details. Take a clear photo of your ID in good lighting — we need to see your name, photo, date of birth, and expiry date. Your selfie should show your face clearly against a plain background; hold your ID next to your face in the same photo to prove it is yours.
